CCDS Ecosystem

The cooperatives CCDS is involved with are very different from one another, and yet they all share the same vision of an empowered East Boston. Under the shared umbrella of CCDS, they are able to share resources, best practices, and mutual aid in their collective effort to create a more equitable life for their communities.

CCDS has been engaged with nurturing cooperatives since its inception, many of which have since become fully independent. Currently, there are six cooperatives that CCDS is actively working with. Click on the logos below for more information.

United Hands Maintenance Services is the newest cooperative in the CCDS ecosystem and connects tradespeople with dignified work in a field that can often be exploitative.

Renacer specializes in comprehensive elder care. By being worker owned, Renacer can avoid the burn out often faced by others in the field to ensure excellent conditions for all.

Sazón is a catering cooperative that focuses on expressing their culture through balanced and healthy foods. Their current goal is to have their own kitchen to better serve the community.

Clean Green is a cooperative designed to help those engaged in the often exploitative field of commercial and domestic cleaning. Clean Green worker owners pride themselves on using environmentally friendly cleaning products to ensure worker, clients and community health.

Wonder Kiddos (formerly Magic Seeds) is a childcare cooperative that prioritizes bilingual education and culturally diverse environments, particularly for the children of new immigrant families.

Puntada is composed of immigrant women specializing in sewing, mending, and fabricating. During the height of the pandemic, they sold more that 20,000 masks to help support their families and gave away approximately 5,000 to those in need in our community.

EN/ES Translations is an international translation service that specializes in remote meetings (Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc) between groups who speak different languages. They offer real-time translation so that businesses, organizations, and meeting-goers can simply focus on the matters at hand.
